Tips and info about BOMBS in RAID Shadow Legends

I gathered some info from my research about bombs in RAID Shadow Legends which I share with you here (thanks written at bottom):

Bombs have their own multipliers

Not all bombs are created equal. Souldrinker bombs for example do very little damage. Same for Shazar bombs although I still think Shazar might be decent because positive affinity and his A1 can actually hit really hard if you get a few debuffs to stick.

Bombs scale with the champions ATK, they do not profit from DEF down. The hardest hitting bombs to my knowledge are those of Astralith. She is positive affinity towards the boss, doesn't need Accuracy and boosts your Turn Meter. Still really doubting that just doubling the bomb damage will actually do enough. Someone like Turvold will probably still just out-damage any bomb champion you can field.

Bomb champions & multipliers in RAID

  • Champion: Astralith - bomb multiplier: 5 x ATK
  • Champion: War Mother - bomb multiplier: 4.25 x ATK
  • Champion: Lord Shazar - bomb multiplier: 3.2 x ATK
  • Champion: Galkut - bomb multiplier: 4 x ATK
  • Champion: Souldrinker - could not find info but people say it is low on both his active and passive bombs

TBD

Skratch made an interesting point. He said War Mother does 100% more damage to bosses now and no one uses her. So will 200% more damage be enough or will we still find it is more effective to just bring the nukers in? (he asked about 200% because the new bomb boss takes 100% more damage from bombs)

Nukers still more powerful than bombs

I think people are severely overestimating that bombs are going to be actually viable at all.

My Shazaar with 5.5k ATK + ATK-up does like 30k a bomb on a booked 4 turn CD if you include his A2 extra turn.

So 60k @ 200% is 180k on a 4 turn CD how is that any better than any other normal nuker?

Tips on doing Clan Quests the cheapest possible way

Here are some tips for doing Clan Quests in RAID Shadow Legends in the cheapest way possible to help you preserve as much of your Energy as possible.

Clan Quest: Placing X Increase Defense (Version 1)

Place 50 or 100 Increase Defense in Tag Arena: this counts all champions so having 1 DEF+ champion in each of the 3 teams will give you 4 x 3 = 12 points for the quest per 1 battle.

Clan Quest: Crafting Epic or Legendary gear

Craft Epic or Legendary gear from Doom Tower bosses or other: can be done on a low Rank (3-4 stars) to make it cheapest. And of course don't waste any charms, just keep rolling until the needed gear appears.

Clan Quest: Placing X number of buffs/debuffs (Version 2)

(thanks kshoggi) Place 500 speedups or whatever: I used Apothecary 1 man team with heal 1st priority and speedup 2nd priority against an Arbiter 1 man team. Walk away for a half hour and then just manually fight to get the win. Got the defense one similarly with unequipped Sepulcher Sentinel + Apothecary and the shield one with Lodric + Apothecary.

Additional info:

Sepulcher Sentinel is not required - just pick a defense-up champion from your vault that will stay alive without doing much damage.

The difference between auto prioritizing heal vs only healing when low encompasses a lot of 1-man defenses that survive the former but die to the latter. With 100% Crit-built Apothecary on manual you can save the heal until 25% hp while you smack her with giant slayer autos.

Personally, my Lodric is rank 5, does 0 damage, and only attacks like one out of four turns if you set his priorities right.

For each of these, you may have to experiment to dial in the strength of your guys vs the defense. Add or remove gear. I found that Apothecary vs Arbiter defenses works well but there's bound to be plenty of options. Go in and test and make sure you can win on manual (don't win the series). Then make sure you won't win on auto after a minute or two. Then you can walk away for a bit.

Clan Quest: Placing X number of debuffs on a boss

(thanks akd90) For the "place X debuff on Y boss Z times" use multiple champions that can place that debuff to get multiple debuff procs towards the quest.

Kinda strange, but I noticed the “place X debuff on Y boss for Z amount of times” seemed to be completing in fewer runs than I anticipated. Then I noticed I had two champs that placed X debuff. The game seems to recognize a place as two different instances even if it’s already applied if it’s coming from two different sources, such as two different champions. So for example, an easy way to complete the “place 100 decrease speed debuffs on the fire knight 100 times” elite quest is to use two or even three different champions that can apply decrease speed.

Q: that's very interesting, thank you, do you know if it also works by speeding up champions to put the debuff faster? or does Champion ZZZ's debuff has to finish before he can apply it again for points?

A: The debuff doesn’t have to expire from what I can tell.

Seems fixed amount - efficient way not possible:

  • 100 Block Revive on Ice Golem mobs ("Boss's minions") - I guess will always be 50 runs minimum. Lydia info (thanks korukyu): Lydia denies revive, it's a different mechanic and it doesn't count at all. Lots of people complaining in the discord bug reports.

RAID Jokes - The Uninhabited Island

RAID Shadow Legends jokes Series by COSMOS: The Uninhabited Island.

Armiger, Galek & Athel appeared on an uninhabited island where they met a Genie who offered them each 2 wishes.

"I want a sack of Gems and to go home" said Athel & disappeared.

"To become a Rare champion and to go home" said Armiger & disappeared.

"That was a good team. I want full Energy and bring them back here!" said Galek.

Getting guaranteed Epic 250 point champions for Champion Chase event in RAID Shadow Legends

Players in RAID Shadow Legends (especially F2P) can actually guarantee themselves extra points in the Champion Chase events by preparing in advance.

This is done by preparing the necessary Rare champions in standard fusions and making the fusion only when the Champion Chase event appears.

This way you can get even thousands of points without spending a single shard. Or, what happens more frequently, is a combination of this preparation and some shard opening allowing to hopefully get most of the event rewards including Legendary Books.

What are Standard Fusions?

Currently there are 3 fusions which are always available, these are:

  • Broadmaw: this is the cheapest one since it only requires you to prepare 3 star champions, however, you have to wait until you pull these again when you pull your Void shards.
  • Relickeeper: 4 out of 4 champions here are 100% free farm-able via the Campaign. The fusion is a little harder as it requires 4 stars prepared, but since it is always available to everyone it is very interesting.
  • Rhazin Epics: always available until you decide to fuse Rhazin. 4 Epics are required to fuse Rhazin and there are cases where players don't get 1 or 2 Rares for even ~2 years. So you can keep fusing the ones you have as long as you wish. There is a Mission after the Arbiter that forces you to fuse Rhazin so until you decide to do this Mission this option is open to you (unlimited amount for Epics).

Is it a good idea to prepare multiple of these fusions?

Most people do not bother with this because it takes time and a lot of resources. The 4 star requirement Epics especially are highly inefficient use of resources.

Out of curiosity I setup a poll on Reddit to capture people's preferences (picture below) and from the 148 votes the vast majority (126) do not bother with this preparation and feed the champions as food.

So it will be your choice how you want to handle your own RAID Shadow Legends account - I just want to share with you that this possibility exists, but it does take effort to do it.

(For example: if you prepare 4 Epics then on the Champion Chase you can get 1000 extra points without pulling any shards)

Relickeeper - fully farmable

Another interesting point that user Cortavius2 made in the comments was that Relickeeper fusion may be more interesting because the player can farm freely 4 out of the 4 champions required. However, as I mentioned above, resource-wise this is highly inefficient but possible if someone wants to do it.

Requires: Level 40 Justiciar, Executioner, Templar, Sorceress
(Level 40 Justiciar = Level 30 Warmaiden, Diabolist, Spirithost, Heiress)

Sorceress = can get 100% free from Campaign 3 “Catacombs of Narbuk”
Spirithost = can get 100% free from Campaign 4 “Durham Forest”
Heiress = can get 100% free from Campaign 6 “Palace of Aravia”
Diabolist = can get 100% free from Campaign 12 “Brimstone Path”
Templar = can get 100% free from Campaign 8 “Valdemair Strait”
Warmaiden = can get 100% free from Campaign 9 “The Deadlands”
Executioner = can get 100% free from Campaign 11 “Hallowed Halls”

(thanks ayumilove)

Conclusion

  • I believe very dedicated RAID players will do all of these fusions because this allows a 100% free way to get lots of nice rewards from the Champion Chase event without spending a single shard.
  • However, not all players can sit and play many hours each day and nobody likes doing a boring task of preparing these fusions which is why I think that the majority does not bother.

Here is how much SILVER income you should expect from a Spider 20 run

For silver income many players like running Dragon or especially Spider dungeons so they can have a chance of getting a nice equipment item and, at the same time, selling off the other items for silver.

It has long been known that the Spider's Den dungeon will yield the biggest silver income. This is only because Accessories have a higher price (similar to how shields are more expensive than other equipment pieces).

But how much silver exactly can a RAID player generate by doing Spider's Den runs and selling the equipment?

To answer this question I did a whole bunch of runs on Stage 20 of the Spider's Den and here I share with you my findings:

SILVER income you should expect from selling equipment from a Spider Stage 20 run:

I did 148 Spider runs and here is what the data shows:

  • Runs --- Items --- Silver --- Silver for 1 item (rounded):
  • Run #1 --- 46 --- 2,622,500 --- 57,000 silver per item
  • Run #2 --- 31 --- 1,923,650 --- 62,000 silver per item
  • Run #3 --- 71 --- 4,383,100 --- 62,000 silver per item
  • Total --- 148 --- 8,929,250 --- 60,000 silver per item

So you can see from the data that RAID players should expect to receive an average of approximately 60,000 silver per Spider 20 run. And I also provide the screenshots as proof below (Note: here we are speaking only about silver from selling the equipment).

Player quits giving a very accurate explanation, will Plarium listen?

Here I want to share a post made by username "vksdann" on Reddit where he quit and deleted RAID Shadow Legends giving a very accurate explanation of various issues of RAID which made him arrive at his decision.

It is long, but an interesting read and a question that arises is: will Plarium listen?

Here is his post:

(and just for records, here is the link to the Reddit post)

And so Today that happened...

Raid: Shadow Legends is a great game. It has amazing and very detailed art, it has cool animations, great bosses and level design. The gameplay is also quite fun! Leveling up your characters, equipping artifacts and seeing them grow stronger, faster, tankier is quite satisfying! I love this game and I have great joy playing it!

That is not why I am here today though. Today. Today is different. We all known what a disaster the clan quests update has been. We all know how it takes literally hours and hours to do all the DAILY chores such as FW and Clan Boss in Raid.

This all started the day before.
As any good boy, I starting doing my daily chores today, just like any other day, and, while leveling up my food I started thinking just all the things I HAVE TO do in Raid: level up 3 food, replace, level up 3 more, replace, level up 3 more, rank up, do it again a couple hundred of times and now I have one great 5* food. Before that I was farming Fire Knight all night long, well, not actually me, as I was sleeping. The game was playing itself. Then off to Faction Wars we go, that's another great 40 minutes of ~autoing without even looking at the screen~ fun! Next was time for some Clan Boss action! You see, Clan Boss is great fun because there are all those different strategies you can you and different combinations of skills to get the most value, so I pressed play, prepared breakfast and watched a couple episodes of One Punch Man. "These last 2 hours were fun! Oh right, Clan Boss is probably done... what's next on my list of chores?"

And it hit me, Raid is a chore now. I spent the whole morning playing Raid (and technically night too) but at the same time I spent less than 5 minutes actually enjoying the game. I have spent hours everyday ~pressing auto~ playing the game but not actually having any fun. What is the fun of autoing FW, Clan Boss, Spider, leveling up food for hours and hours? Do I ever even stop to actually look at the gameplay anymore? How much time do I actually spend really playing this game? I make fun of my zombie friends who spend hours scrolling endlessly through social media and here I am stuck to the screen on my phone waiting for Class Boss to kill my comp for the nth time. To top it off, the recent updates are a complete joke and total disrespect. ~Whale duels~ Tournaments and Events are getting more and more ~expensive~ difficult and the update that would bring some freshness and renew the will to play the game just made me disgusted. Clan members fighting over quests and utterly stupid reward system. They spend 90% of time-effort on art and give the actual gameplay to interns who have never touched Raid with a list "these are the levels and things you can do in the game, just make some kind of achievement lists while we are working on the new emblem model in the next champ. Let me know when you are done."

So I uninstalled Raid. It felt weird. I felt tempted to open the store and download it again. I resisted. Today I woke up, started preparing coffee and while the water was boiling I opened my usual games folder on my phone. Raid wasn't in it. I felt, relieved. "Huh, I don't have to do this anymore." I said out loud. It's been a few hours and I unlocked my phone at least 3 times out of habit "Did I run FW already today? Do I still have any CB keys to use?" only to see I have no Raid anymore on my phone or computer.

It is weird not to have that chain around my wrists anymore. Knowing I don't have to think about using keys or spending resources feels better than I thought it would. I was honestly awaiting for the FOMO and anxiety to hit, but it did not.

Decided not to fuse Mother Cybele and keep Epics like Magnarr & Conellia

I was well on track to fuse Mother Cybele, but based on the research that I did and discussions which I started on Reddit I made the decision not to fuse her and keep all the Epics especially Magnarr and Conellia.

The people who argue for Mother Cybele say:

  • Players who are at the end of the game and have everything or most things. For such players there is little interest in the Epics. This is a very valid point but a lot of the players, including myself, are far from end game.
  • Players who believe that Mother Cybele is made for the not-yet-released Doom Tower rotation. There is zero evidence of this. This is pure hope and there is no precedent in history of Plarium having such planning.
  • Players who believe that many months or year(s) later Plarium will buff Mother Cybele and make her really strong. This belongs in the "prayer" category.
  • Players who believe that you should get the legendary champion if you can because they are difficult to get. Yes, legos are hard to get, but don't forget there are 50+ useless legos out there that nobody uses, so just because something is legendary does not mean it's great.

The arguments for not fusing:

  • Magnarr is an amazing HP based Epic with powerful stats at the same level as the legendary Queen of Arena Trunda. In some situations he can do even more damage than her and Murderinc has called Trunda dead - not saying you must agree with him, but all the evidence points to him being a great and immediately useful champion.
  • Conellia is another amazing champion. She has very interesting healing and turn cutting mechanics and can put the whole enemy team to sleep. I posted already on this blog how fantastic she is for the Doom Tower's Nether Spider by sleeping all the little spiderlings. This champion also is immediately usable.
  • Tolf and Jurojin are a bonus. They can be interesting on specific players' accounts. Tolf has an interesting ability to cut all the enemy shields in half. He also has an ability to drop an enemy to 50% of it's life, which could be great to use on tough enemies cutting them in half in 1 hit.
  • In the Rares the Hellfreaks are interesting. They have a rare ability to swap HP with the enemy. The skill is not working properly right now but I assume it will be fixed. The interesting thing is that they can swap and immediately get another turn. There might be some interesting uses for this champion.

So as stated, I decided not to fuse Mother Cybele on hopes and prayers and put her in the vault until some use appears for her. For my account which is advanced but not end game all the other champions will contribute significantly more and bring me more rewards than 1 Mother Cybele.

Kill the Nether Spider Boss easily with Conellia - RAID Shadow Legends

In this blog post I share with you my discovery when watching RAID videos that Conellia is fantastic for the Doom Tower boss Nether Spider

I am showing you the picture below which I prepared from when I saw this presented by YST in his video review of Conellia: https://youtu.be/SlUcFE3xJUk

Since Conellia does not hit anyone when she uses the Sleep ability it is a fantastic possibility to sleep the little spiderlings of the Nether Spider!

Just make sure in your champion selection and orders that everyone does only single attacks, no AOEs.

Guide: the Level at which to stop Leveling Champions before working on Masteries - RAID Shadow Legends

This guide will explain how to be the efficient with your Energy expenditure in RAID Shadow Legends when it comes to leveling up champions who you plan to keep and have Masteries on.

The Wrong way

Straight away to say the wrong way: a player gets a new champion they love and they rank it up to 6 star and level it up to level 60 with their campaign farmer or dungeon farmer. Then they gear it and either buy the Masteries with gems or start grinding the Masteries. And finally they have a fully ready champion.

There are many things wrong (in terms of it being inefficient) with the above way. This blog post will focus on the leveling up part:

Experience needed to max a 5* and 6*

  • 963,806 Experience is needed to max out a 5 star champion
  • 2,010,669 Experience is needed to max out a 6 star champion

Experience we get from Minotaur

  • 4,152 Experience for 1 champion with x2 EXP
  • 2,076 half without the x2 EXP

Estimating # of Minotaur runs required to max Masteries

  • (5 champions) for Basic scrolls: 500 / 28 = 17.9 runs * 14 energy = 250 energy
  • (5 champions) for Advanced scrolls: 3000 / 13.5 = 222.2 runs * 14 energy = 3111 energy
  • (5 champions) for Divine scrolls: 4750 / 9 = 527.8 runs * 14 energy = 7389 energy
  • (5 champions) Total energy cost to have the first 5 champions maxed = 10750 energy
  • (1 champion) Energy cost for 1 champion =10750 / 14 energy per run / 5 champions = 153.57 runs expected

* thanks to NODsBlackHand for the energy calculation on Reddit

Number of runs

  • 122 minimum runs if one is more lucky with higher scroll drops
  • 154 would be expected number of runs in average

Experience we will expect to receive from the Minotaur

  • 639,408 for the 154 runs for 1 champion with x2 EXP
  • or 319,704 for 1 champion without x2 EXP

That means that since we will get this experience we do not need to farm this!

FINAL CONCLUSION & CHART

Therefore, based on the above calculations we only need to level up our "keeper" champions to:

For champions you plan to keep at 5 Star:

  • (with x2 EXP) Level up only to to Level 37 with regular farming and the rest will come from the Minotaur (639,408 EXP).
  • (without x2 EXP) Level up only to to Level 46 with regular farming and the rest will come from the Minotaur (319,704 EXP).

For champions you plan to max to 6 Star:

  • (with x2 EXP) Level up only to to Level 55 with regular farming and the rest will come from the Minotaur (639,408 EXP).
  • (without x2 EXP) Level up only to to Level 58 with regular farming and the rest will come from the Minotaur (319,704 EXP).
The Chart:

Finally, I wanted to show you my chart where I visualize the cumulative experience needed to max out a 5 star and a 6 star champion. You can see that:

  • (on the right in blue) a 5 star needs almost a million EXP to max.
  • (on the right in purple) a 6 star needs ~2 million EXP to max.
  • (in red color) I have shown in red the places where we should stop leveling champions as explained in this blog post corresponding to the levels noted above.

Potions needed for Mother Cybele and Hurndig Fusions

In non-fragment based Fusions RAID players are also required to have sufficient Potions to Ascend all the needed champions for the final Fusion.

Here you can see that for Mother Cybele we will need (below that is also Hurndig's Potions just for reference):

  • 240 Lesser Potions
  • 252 Greater Potions
  • and 36 Superior Potions

So make sure you already have them or plan your energy to farm them in the Potion Keeps on the correct days when they are open.

My Spider Stage 20 Team - 100% Reliable - Farming 4-5 min

Here I share with you the team I use to farm Spider Stage 20 in RAID with 100% reliability (takes ~4-5 minutes).

  • These champions are much more achievable than some other teams shown as examples.
  • Ultimate Galek is the champion who provides the HP Burn and he is at level 50 and does not need anything more to get the job done.
  • Gear is mediocre. Some +12 items still on the champions.

This is not the best team, just much more achievable team than some others people displayed.

Also to give you ideas - maybe you can use my ideas and improve on them.

Here is the picture with all champions and their roles and stats.

In case someone is wondering why I reduce Turn Meter with Aox and Psylar when I want the little spiders to take turns to HP Burn the Boss - it is because they are very strong and if I let them go at their speed they kill my team. Whereas if I slow them down, they will burn the boss slower but my team is 100% safe.

Be very careful with the Clan Quest which asks to get a Rare Shield

Among the many failures by Plarium is the Clan Quest to win a Rare Shield from a Campaign Battle. This looks easy so some players might rush to take it, but this quest is a disaster!

On the picture below you see my Clan-mate ended up doing 300 campaign battles before he managed to find a single Rare Shield. This is a massive waste of resources!

So be careful, don't just rush to take this quest unless you are willing to pay the price for it.

Update:

Adding various useful comments from others and myself on Reddit regarding this:

1)

Blackeagle525: A clan mate of mine said it took him 2100+ energy. Yeah, this is another example of poor design.

2)

kshoggi: Should take about 250 energy if you just wanna get it over with and run normal campaign. --> MY ANSWER: COSMOS_DolyGames: 1) 250 energy that you quote is a calculated expectation. As it is fully RNG you can see that people are reporting significantly higher numbers also. (2) Even if we take 250 energy, that is a big damage on the account because you get squat from doing 50 Normal Boss level runs. With those 250 energy you could have leveled up 3 x 3* champions from level 1 to level 30 and another 3 x 2* champions from level 1 to level 20 and on top of that gotten a decent amount of silver income. Or you could have spent it on dungeon runs to get EXP/artifacts/silver as well as ~250 points for Dungeon event as well as Divers event.

3)

When I was asked to give details:

I thought it was widely known that Boss levels are significantly worse. But OK, here you go:

Normal 12-7 gives per run 10380 EXP (@x2) + 6150 Silver + useless 1* 2* junk, let's say 2000 Silver and costs 5 Energy per run

Brutal 12-3 gives per run 34608 EXP (@x2) + 10550 Silver + about 5000 silver worth of gear avg. per run and costs 8 Energy per run

For 250 Energy one can run 50 of those Normals and 31 of those Brutals

The above Normal would generate 519k EXP + 307.5k Silver from the run + 100k silver from the junk

The above Brutal would generate 1081k EXP + 330k Silver from the run + 156k Silver from gear

The difference, doing the above Normal, would mean a loss of 562.5k EXP + loss of 78.5k Silver.

And that's just for 250 Energy while you can see some people reported having to spend 2000 Energy before they got the item.

On 2000 Energy the loss would be, of course, more = loss of 4.5 mil EXP + loss of 627.5k Silver

4)

bigkino217: i had to check if my clan mate who took this actually knew how to do it. he did, it just took him over 1k energy

NEVER Trust in-game reviews in RAID - they are often completely wrong & mislead players!

RAID has an in-game review system for champions, which, as many things created by Plarium (with exception of the Art Team), is built badly and idiotically leading to often completely wrong ratings for Champions.

This then gives absolutely wrong information to beginners and casual players leading them to waste their earned resources and get angry & frustrated down the road.

The Bully example

The below picture is a perfect example of this. Bully is a useless champion that nobody uses. He is rated high in all categories / locations when the truth is that he is a completely trash champion and not good in any of these places.

So never trust the in-game reviews in RAID. Instead, think for yourself and research champions using more reliable champion lookup references such as the one of Ayumilove and HellHades (links at the bottom of this blog) or watch YouTube videos about them.

Public Relations (PR) impact on Ratings

Sometimes, due to a mistake in PR the ratings of a specific champion are completely fake and wrong. For example when the Ninja fiasco happened when Plarium did not prepare things properly and Ninja streamed completely stupid things about RAID, the RAID players were so upset at this, among other things as well, they just bombed the champion ratings.

How Ratings should be designed to be correct

The proper rating should be shown for champions according to SUCCESSFUL AND ACTIVE usage and BY THE 3 GAME STAGES (Early, Mid, Late) statistics which Plarium has. For example champions which are actively used in sub 1 minute dungeon runs should receive a very high rating for that dungeon and the rating for all champions should be scored AUTOMATICALLY up to 5 points according to their successful usage. Rating by the herd is completely subjective and wrong and should be removed or added in a second tab; as many players have no clue what they are doing but have a lot to speak about.

Better solutions than the Clan Quests system announced by Plarium

The Clan Quests' system Plarium announced is poorly designed and will lead to anger and conflicts between RAID players. Here is the timeline I predict and better solutions proposed:

My Prediction on Clan Quests: The system Plarium announced will:

  1. Clan Quests appear (weekly)
  2. Whoever is awake or in favorable timezone takes the best/easiest quests
  3. The rest of the people start waking up.
  4. Only crappy Clan Quests remain which either pay little or are too hard/annoying to complete.
  5. Some players will not care, while others will get angry they cannot do any quests and cannot get any rewards.
  6. This leads to conflicts between people.
  7. Final result = More anger, More frustration created by Plarium.

My Solutions: What would be better:

  • Awarding an appropriate amount to all Clan members when anyone completes any Clan Quest.
  • Allowing Clan members to join-in / cooperate to complete Clan Quests (e.g. 5 people working to finish 200 dungeon runs).
  • Improving the current crappy chat to facilitate communication.
  • Removing the weekly nonsense --> no time limit. Finish whenever you want. Stop damaging people's Real Life! Simply when a quest is completed by the Clan another quest takes its place after a few minutes (you only need to set a maximum number limit on weekly or monthly basis).

Frozen Banshee in 72 Turns vs. Geomancer in 84 Turns - who did more damage in Clan Boss?

In this blog post I share with you my Clan Boss testing where I used the exact same team swapping only Frozen Banshee and Geomancer to see which champion will do more damage. It is important to note that I am testing on Void Clan Boss (which my team was built for) which is not ideal for Geomancer.

Which Champion / Team won:

I was surprised to discover that Frozen Banshee did more damage in 72 Turns than Geomancer in 84 Turns!

(This testing was done on Brutal Clan Boss as I needed a Void affinity and others were already below 50% HP, but 70-80+ Turns on Clan Boss is an impressive achievement regardless)

However, 2 considerations:

1) As mentioned, the Void Affinity is not ideal for Geomancer and therefore this could automatically mean that on any non-Void Affinity Geomancer will outdamage the Frozen Banshee.

2) It is however important to say that the team with Geomancer may end up doing more damage once all the champions are fully equipped and upgraded as they will contribute 12 extra turns of damage. Reminder: Geomancer also provides additional damage reduction to champions behind his position.

So don't conclude from this blog post that Frozen Banshee is better than Geomancer - they are both fantastic champions.

Pictures

Here is the picture where the team failed with Frozen Banshee:

(Note: I consider a speed-tuned team failing when 1 champion dies. After this they could do a few more turns but that's not important for me)

Other comments

  • Generally I am happy about the progress of my 2nd Clan Boss team that I am building. Achieving 80+ turns survival on Clan Boss is fantastic with my not-so-good gear, not fully upgraded champions and gear which includes 4 star pieces and +12 upgrades.
  • I am however working on replacing Temila with Versulf who I am leveling now. I am hoping Versulf will provide better protection and support with Leech which might allow me to replace Vogoth.
  • I am also experimenting with swapping with other champions: Dhukk for ATK/DEF down, Deacon for Leech and DEF down, etc. As after learning to survive many turns the next step will be to get maximum damage which could be easier achieved on less turns.
  • And I remind that there are much better options - I am just working with the champions and equipment that I have, which is good news because it means there is a lot of room for improvement.
