Plarium's Clan Boss game design leads to huge waste of time and battery life

Clan Boss is the most popular part of RAID Shadow Legends mostly because of the best rewards for players, and, consequently, many strategies created to reach them.

However, a big negative part of the Clan Boss is the forced time to run it. Forced for no good reason by the bad game design of Plarium.

On the below picture you see an example of a Clan Boss run taking just over 16 minutes. However, some other teams take up to 30 minutes per run.

As we have 4 keys per day that means all the players waste more than 1 hour per day just running Clan Boss.

Since there are estimated over 3 million players in RAID Shadow Legends, out of which estimated 250,000 are daily active players then with simple math we can see that every single day players waste 271,333 hours of their time running Clan Boss.

Moreover, same waste is done on the battery life as players switch on Clan Boss and let it run on their phones without even looking at the screen. Plarium's bad game design forces this behavior. They once commented that they wanted players to enjoy their graphics, which was an idiotic comment for several reasons; the main reason being that we are not even looking at the damn screen. It is simply a daily absolutely uninteresting grind - there are no graphics to enjoy after the first few times.

So this Plarium's game design is both unfriendly towards their players as well as anti-environment which can be translated both as wasted energy and financial damage to the players.

There are easy solutions! They just have to move their behinds to implement them. Note: they have been promising over a year to implement measures to reduce time spent by players in the game, but they have done nothing.

The best solution would be adding a tick box option to instantly complete a run. This will have no waste at all. And those players experimenting can still run normally by unticking this box.

Next best is to activate x4 or x6 speeds for Clan Boss to complete runs faster. They previously commented that higher speeds disturb their animations, but again, we are not looking at the damn screen, so that excuse is not applicable.

Lastly, it would help players to have another tick box option to do a test run. This would facilitate players testing different champions in Clan Boss and not having to crash the game every time.

Update:

For Unkillable teams or other strong Clan Boss teams which can survive 50 turns or more:

Expect 90+ minutes per day!

Demytha Heiress UNM 1-2 Key team composition - RAID Shadow Legends

Excellent Clan Boss team composition using Demytha allowing 1-2 key for UNM. Very attainable speeds achieving 3:1 ratio for 2 of the champions.

Thanks to deadwoodjedi and his team for sharing this build.

Here is the picture summarizing everything and links:

  • Ratios: 3:1 ratio for Demytha and Heiress and 2:1 ratio for the rest.
  • Speeds: Demytha 274, Seeker 170, Deacon 185, RARE Farmable Heiress 240, DPS 156
  • Very important to note that this is Affinity friendly! This is because Heiress cleanses everything after every Clan Boss turn. The only time you need to adjust is for Spirit affinity because Heiress is not allowed to be stunned. In this case you need to place another Force champion (in the Random / DPS slot) in front of Heiress in the team position so it takes the stun. Most common example: Geomancer.
  • I highlighted the skill delays on the picture. These are important to setup the battle in the beginning and, as you can see, it gets in tune very quickly at Clan Boss turn number 3.

24 Godlike EPIC reasons to spend majority of shards on x2 instead of x10 events in RAID Shadow Legends

Here are up to 24 game-changing Epic reasons (champions) to pull majority of your shards during events where Epic champion chances are increased (x2 events).

These champions are very significant in RAID Shadow Legends and by participating in other events (such as x10) players reduce their chances of getting these.

  • These champions are even more powerful than some legendary champions.
  • They are not shown in any particular order - they each have their own areas of strength.
  • There are also other great Epics, I just picked these 24, which is already a good enough reason to go for high Epic chance events versus others.

Because of fusion events or other reasons we still need to pull shards during other events, so I am simply recommending pulling majority (not all) during x2. For other events we can pull just the minimum required number to get the necessary points and stop or to use up the saved up Mystery Shards or non-fused champions.

RAID Shadow Legends Advanced Settings by COSMOS

Sometimes small improvements can bring a lot of benefit to players such as these RAID Shadow Legends suggestions:

RAID Advanced Settings

Sooner or later all players reach their inventory limit (currently 1000 items). Clearing equipment is an absolute nightmare in RAID Shadow Legends.

One of the largest and most annoying obstacles is upgrading equipment one by one to +8 or +12 in order to be able to make the decision to keep or sell.

While changing the entire rotten system would take too much effort, implementing a simple auto-upgrade as shown in the picture below would be extremely fast and easy and save MANY hours time for tens of thousands of players.

Many other Advanced Settings could be added, these are just several suggestions.

Advanced Settings can also be locked until a player reaches a certain level or finishes beginner activities to make sure that new players don't make any mistakes.
