Sharing with you below my research: "See how much the OWNERS of RAID/Plarium earned in 2022 + RAID revenue". When seeing these numbers I remember and laugh at some clueless RAID players who tell other players to support the developer so they don't make a loss.
Picture #1 of 3: Summary "at a Glance"
- This massive amount that most people cannot comprehend is for year 2022 only.
- RAID is developed by Plarium, who is owned by Aristocrat (an Australian gambling machine manufacturer) - a casino games company. If you see the name Pixel United, this is the gaming division of Aristocrat which owns Plarium, Big Fish Games and Product Madness. And consequently all the games under those including RAID.
- RAID alone represents about 8% or 457 million USD of the shown 5.6 billion USD revenue.
Picture #2 of 3: Booking by Genre
This is also interesting, but I think the next Picture #3 where it is broken down by game is more interesting.
Picture #3 of 3: Breakdown by Game
- Here you may be surprised to learn about all of those games owned by the same people/company who owns RAID.
- At present RAID is #1 in this package representing 25% of the 1.8 billion USD they earned only from all of these games (as I said in the 1st point that's 457 million USD)
- RAID's revenue has slightly dropped from the previous year - this is not a cause for concern. It's actually pretty awesome for them that it has stayed stable on these high levels.
Other: Profit / Margin
- From the 1.8 billion USD shown above they reported Profit of 605 million USD. Their profit margin is 33% which is pretty juicy.
- They are happy to report these nice figures especially because they said it was a difficult year for the market overall.
- They have 5.5 million daily active players (technical term active users - DAU) in all of these games combined. RAID has probably around 1 million.
Hope this was interesting for you - feel free to post which part surprised you the most and/or share with your RAID friends / clan-mates.
